Connecting-rod small-end bushing (37 mm outside diameter) for the Caterpillar C6.4 / 3066 diesel engine — a direct replacement for the original Caterpillar 296-4663. It is pressed into the rod's small end to carry the piston pin.
The bushing wears with hours; excessive clearance lets the pin knock and the piston rock (piston slap, oil consumption). Replaced during an overhaul or when pin clearance is out of spec.
Supplied as one bushing. Confirm the engine model and pin size before ordering; press in as specified and ream/hone to the correct pin clearance, then check that the oil hole aligns.
