Middle water hose (radiator / coolant hose) for the Caterpillar 3066 / S6K / C6.4 diesel engine family (also 3064 / C4.2) — a direct replacement for the original Caterpillar 7Y-1941. Inner diameter 49 mm, moulded curved hose, synthetic rubber (EPDM). It carries coolant between the engine and the radiator.
The water hose is a rubber wear item: heat and vibration harden and crack it over time. Typical failures are a cracked or swollen wall and coolant weeping at the connections, which leads to coolant loss and engine overheating. It is normally replaced together with the clamps during cooling-system service.
Supplied as a single hose. Before ordering, confirm the removed part number and the connection inner diameter; drain the coolant, clean the connections, then refill and bleed the system after fitting.
