Two-piece asymmetric isolation rubber mount for Caterpillar machinery (312C / 314C / 315C) — a direct replacement for the original Caterpillar 266-6299. It is bolted between the engine/component and the frame to isolate vibration and noise.
The rubber element perishes over time: it cracks, softens or separates from the steel, so engine vibration is transmitted to the frame and leaks or noise increase. Replaced in pairs when the mount shows cracks, sagging or oil damage (oil rapidly destroys natural rubber).
Supplied as one mount. Confirm the machine model before ordering; replace both mounts on the same side together and tighten to the specified torque with the engine supported.
