Serpentine (9PK V-ribbed) belt for the Caterpillar C6.4 / 3066 diesel engine — a replacement for Caterpillar 519-524 / 519-5242. It drives the fan, water pump and alternator from the crankshaft pulley.
Belts stretch, glaze and crack with age; ribs wear and the belt can slip (squeal, low charging) or throw off, and a broken belt stops the water pump and overheats the engine. Replaced at scheduled service or at the first sign of cracking, glazing or missing ribs.
Supplied as one belt. Confirm the belt section/length and engine model before ordering; check all pulleys and the tensioner for wear and set tension to spec.
